Moderated by solar champion Raina Brett Russo, president and co-founder of EcoOutfitters.net, #SolarChat welcomes solar and renewable industry experts and consumers who are "solar curious" to discuss relevant issues like solar energy, solar PV, solar hot water, solar pool heating, and related subjects.

This week's chat will also be joined by Jeff Wolfe (@Jeff_groSolar), P.E., CEO and co-founder of groSolar, and Tor Valenza, a.k.a. “Solar Fred" (@SolarFred) and the founder of UnThink Solar.

He has led groSolar to become one of the nation’s largest and most reputable large commercial and utility scale solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, serving the 1-30 megawatt photovoltaic market.  groSolar also serves the residential solar market through it nationwide distribution network of more than 1,500 solar contractors.  Wolfe is PV Division Chair of Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), part of the Union of Concerned Scientists and one of only 1,000 people trained in giving Al Gore’s climate change presentation.  Wolfe has also testified before the US Senate as well as state legislatures numerous times.

As founder of UnThink Solar, a strategic communications firm, and a solar advocate for more than 25 years, Valenza helps solar companies reach solar customers through innovative messaging, branding, and social media communications. His firm's clients have included AEE Solar, Free Hot Water, One Block Off the Grid (1bog.org), Panasonic, SolarPowerRocks.com, SolarCity, and others. In addition, his RenewableEnergyWorld.com blog offers free solar marketing advice and encourages solar companies to step up their solar marketing and solar advocacy campaigns.
